How to Book in 3 Steps

  1. Download the Give Blood app or visit blood.ca.

    If prompted, allow the team contact to view your name and email so we can send campaign updates and help with reminders or ride coordination if needed.
  3. Book your appointment during the campaign window.
    If dedicated team appointments are not shown, simply book any available appointment at the Calgary donor centre during the campaign window. Once you have joined the team, your donation will be counted with the Sacred Heart Knights, Council 1186.
  • Plan for about one hour at the donor centre, plus travel time.
  • Bring valid government-issued ID.
  • Drink plenty of fluids and eat well beforehand.

Parish Appreciation Draw (Prizes)

To encourage participation and celebrate this work of charity, we are offering weekly prize draws and one grand prize draw during the campaign.

Weekly prizes

  • Week 1: Tim Hortons gift card ($25)
  • Week 2: Safeway gift card ($50)
  • Week 3: Shell gift card ($25)
  • VIP Experience at a Future Council 1186 Event

Grand prize

  • Dinner for two gift certificate ($100)


Eligibility and verification

Prize entries are intended for participants who join our Partners for Life team and book an appointment during the campaign window. Selected winners must confirm that they booked and attended their appointment during the campaign period. If a selected winner cannot confirm this, another winner will be drawn.
No medical information is requested.

Limited Rides Available

If you need a ride to the donor centre, we may be able to help on a limited basis.

Rides are arranged based on volunteer availability and your scheduled appointment time.

Need Help Booking

Knights will be available after Mass on selected weekends to help parishioners join the team and book appointments using the GiveBlood app or at blood.ca.

Canadian Blood Services Partners for Life is the team program that allows your donation to be counted with our parish campaign.

1. Where to Park

  • Parkade: Use the Calgary Tower parkade.
  • Access: Enter the parkade from either 9th Ave or 10th Ave.
  • Designated donor parking: Proceed to Level 6 and park on the west side, near the elevator.


2. How to Reach the Donor Centre

  • Take the elevator to the ground level.
  • Exit onto 9th Ave SW and walk west.
  • Cross 1st St SW and continue to Penn West Plaza.
  • The donor centre is on the main floor of the East Tower.


3. Validating Your Free Parking

Do not lose your parking ticket. Complimentary donor parking is available only in the designated donor parking area.

  1. Take a ticket when you enter the Calgary Tower parkade.
  2. At the donor centre, you will receive a ticket to cover the time you are there.
  3. When leaving, insert the ticket or tickets received at the donor centre first.
  4. Then insert the ticket received when you entered the parkade.
  5. If you spent additional time downtown after your appointment, pay for that extra time after completing the first two steps.

Do I have to donate at a specific time?
No. You may donate at any available appointment time during the campaign window. If team appointments are available, please use one of those. If not, book any available appointment and make sure you have joined our Partners for Life team.

I cannot donate. Can I still help?
Yes. You can encourage a friend or family member to donate during the campaign window, and please keep donors and recipients in your prayers.
