Sacred Heart Parish Day will take place on Sunday, June 14, following the 11:00 a.m. Mass.
Sacred Heart Parish Day will be celebrated this Sunday, June 14, as our parish marks the Solemnity of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, with Bishop William McGrattan celebrating the 11:00 a.m. Mass and the parish celebration following afterward.
This is a major parish celebration, with up to 500 people expected to attend. Parishioners and several parish ministries will come together for food, fellowship, and community celebration.
The Knights of Columbus, Monsignor Doyle Council 1186, will support the event by cooking and serving hamburgers and hot dogs using our barbecue and griddle equipment. Other food and support will be provided by the Filipino Catholic Community and other parish ministries.
We are looking for Brother Knights to help in the following areas:
Saturday table setup
Saturday, June 13, at 4:00 p.m.
Volunteers are needed to help set up tables and assist with basic room setup for the event.
Sunday barbecue and griddle team
Sunday, June 14, beginning at 7:30 a.m.
Please meet by St. Carlo Acutis Hall. Volunteers are needed to help set up the barbecue and griddle area, get the equipment ready, organize the cooking area, and cook and serve hamburgers and hot dogs for the parish lunch.
Sunday equipment cleanup
At the end of service, volunteers are needed to help clean the barbecue and griddle properly before the equipment is packed away. This is an important part of taking care of our Council equipment and making sure it is ready for the next event.
Brother Knights are also encouraged to attend the Parish Day celebration with their families after the 11:00 a.m. Mass. A strong Knights presence, both in service and in attendance, will help support the parish and show our Council’s commitment to Sacred Heart.
If you have already signed up, thank you.
There is no need to submit the form again.
