The Way of the Cross: A Lenten Devotion

The Stations of the Cross are a vital tradition of our Faith, allowing us to walk with Christ through His Passion and reflect on the sacrifice of Calvary. By serving in the sanctuary and providing hospitality in the hall, we fulfill our Council’s commitment to faith and fraternity, offering our parish a meaningful opportunity for prayer and fellowship.

Event Details: Friday, February 20th

Stations of the Cross: 7:00 PM (Church Sanctuary)
Arrival: Brothers serving in the sanctuary must arrive by 6:45 PM.
Coordination: Brother Phonse Delaney is coordinating the Stations; the Grand Knight is coordinating Hospitality.
Conclusion: Event concludes by 9:00 PM.

Service Roles (Sanctuary)

Select the service role(s) you are willing to perform:

Reader: Proclaiming the prayers and reflections at each station.

Crossbearer: Carrying the crucifix as we move from station to station.

Candlebearer: Carrying the candles that accompany the cross.

You may select multiple roles if you are willing to rotate or assist as needed during the movement between stations.

Council Hospitality & Meal Service (St. Carlo Acutis Hall)

Assistance needed for the Clam Chowder meal held in the St. Carlo Acutis Hall (Upper Hall).

Select your hospitality role(s)

Final Preparation: Heating chowder, setting the table, and preparing the serving line in the Upper Hall. (Report 45 minutes prior to service).

Serving: Helping to portion and serve the clam chowder to parishioners after the service.

Clean up: Assisting with clearing tables, washing pots, and tidying the Upper Hall kitchen after the meal concludes.

Volunteers may select multiple roles based on their availability.
