Parish Renewal Gathering

On Saturday evening, October 25, about 50 parishioners gathered in the St. (Carlo) Acutis [Upper] Hall for a Parish Renewal evening with hospitality, conversation, and reflection on the future of our parish.

The Catholic Women’s League prepared a generous table of cheeses, deli meats, shrimp, and other appetizers. The Knights of Columbus supported the event by staffing the cash bar, operating Square, assisting with setup, and welcoming guests. The goal of the night was simple: create a space where people could stay, talk, and be heard.

During the evening, Br. Ryan Factura spoke about renewal in parish life. He reminded us that renewal is not just programs or events. It is personal conversion lived out in service. We are called to deeper prayer and a more intentional Catholic life, and then to let that faith become visible in real acts of charity and support for one another.

Fr. Arjay, our Pastor and Council Chaplain, also addressed the gathering. He spoke about parish renewal as the work of the whole people of God. The parish is strengthened when parishioners are encouraged to offer their gifts and are given room to serve. Renewal happens when people are not only welcomed, but actively invited to contribute to the life of the parish.

The tone of the evening was positive and hopeful. Ministries were working side by side. People were talking to one another. It was clear that parish renewal is already underway, and that it depends on parishioners stepping forward with the gifts God has already given them.

Vivat Jesus.
