Meeting with the Bishop

During Bishop McGrattan’s pastoral visit to Sacred Heart Parish from March 14th to 16th, 2025, he met with Knights of Columbus Council 1186 on Friday, March 14th. Twenty-one members of the Council were pleased to attend this special gathering, where they were honored by the Bishop’s presence. The Council prepared a fitting Friday observance meal of vegetarian lasagna, salad, and dessert for the occasion.

The gathering included a presentation by the Grand Knight, who shared a comprehensive report on the Council’s enduring legacy of service and their ongoing contributions to both Sacred Heart Parish and the wider community. The report illuminated the profound effect of their charitable and fraternal endeavors.

Following the presentation, Bishop McGrattan engaged in a spirit-filled dialogue with the Knights, reflecting the deep unity and common purpose that define the Knights of Columbus. The evening was a clear demonstration of Council 1186’s strong bonds of fraternity and Christian fellowship in action.
