DESCRIPTION:Eucharistic Procession – Sunday\, June 22\, 2025\nIn celebration of the Solemnity of the Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ (Corpus Christi)\, The Knights of Columbus and Sacred Heart Parish will hold a Eucharistic Procession on Saturday\, June 22\, immediately following the 11:00 AM Mass. \nThis beautiful and solemn tradition is a public expression of our belief in the Real Presence of Jesus Christ in the Eucharist.\nAs a council\, we have the opportunity to take part in this act of devotion and help lead our parish community in reverent witness to the faith we profess. \nWe are seeking at least 12 Brother Knights to assist with the procession in the following roles: \n\nCross Bearer (1)\nGuards for Father (4) – Two Knights on each side of Father\nCandle Bearers (2) – Walking immediately ahead of the Blessed Sacrament\nGuards for the Faithful (4 to 6) – Flanking the congregation as they walk in procession\n\nAll participating Knights are asked to wear council shirts or formal attire as appropriate. \nThis is a significant event in the liturgical life of the Church and a visible reminder of our mission as Knights to bear witness to Christ in our community. The exemplification presents the lessons of Charity\, Unity and Fraternity in a single\, prayerful ceremony that replaces the former separate degrees and is intended to help men live these principles more deeply in their families and parish life. \nThe exemplification itself will take place in the church\, with a simple reception in the Hetherington Room afterward. \nDetails \n\nDate: Saturday\, November 22\, 2025\nTime: About 10:00 a.m. (following the 9:00 a.m. Mass)\nLocation: Sacred Heart Parish\, Calgary\nExemplification in the church\nReception in the Hetherington Room\n\nHost: Knights of Columbus\, Monsignor Doyle Council 1186 \nWhat to expect \nCandidates\, their sponsors\, and brother Knights attend the 9:00 a.m. Mass\, then remain in the church for the exemplification.
